What does it look like to actually restore relationships and live out the restoration God does in our lives?
We like life easy, so when following Jesus brings bumps instead of the smoother path we expected, we wonder what went wrong. Luke 9 reminds us that Jesus never promised following him would meet that expectation.
Rather than seeking to be known as impressive or indispensable, Christians are called to be known as servants of Jesus. Every person is made in the image of God, and the only credential that truly matters on our “resume” before Him is knowing Him.
God calls us to do His good work — and sometimes that means taking time for rest.
Are we willing to go into the spaces where people need the love of Jesus so that they can actually experience it?
We get so wrapped up in the things we need to do — spiritual or “earthly” — that we miss out on spending time with God.
Our Earthly obligations aren’t contrary to serving our God.
